The Buffalo Reflex is gathering information about women and their best friends for a special section in October. In addition to the section for area women, the newspaper is hosting a Women’s Summit from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27 at the O’Bannon Community Building, located just west of the Buffalo swimming pool.

Vendors are now being accepted with a special newspaper promotional package. Call Joy Beamer or Sherry Bennett for details, (417) 345-2224. Vendors welcome include crafters, local businesses and direct sales.

The speaker line-up is almost complete. The 2018 Summit will include the following speakers and topics: Tanya Watson, Buffalo Area Chamber of Commerce: Benefits of Joining the Chamber and Invitation to DIVAS; Judge Lisa Henderson: First woman judge in Dallas County; Clara Boggs, OakStar Bank, Invitation and presentation to Helping Hands Project; Laura Coots, Main Street Realty: Networking and knowing your area; Carissa Sell, US Bank: Banking in the digital age-protect yourself; Rachel Badgett, Dallas County Health Department: Healthy lifestyle; and Suzie Adams.

Participants can shop, listen to informational speakers and top it off with a free lunch. The newspaper is providing a soup and salad lunch so local workers can stop by on their lunch hour and be involved in networking with other women in the area.
