Gayla Bondena Vest was born November 4, 1953, the daughter of Gale & Nana Watkins. She died February 13, 2019 at the age of 65 in Barnes Jewish Hospital after complications of battling cancer.
Gayla was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved gardening, knitting, and spending time with friends and family.
Gayla was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Leo Weldon Vest; four children, Ben & wife Nikki Cox, Gillian & husband DJ Heglund, Jerimiah Hodge & Crystal Vest; seven grandchildren, Nicholas and Marcus Cox, Drake Hodge, Logan Heglund, Madison and Regan Sirolli, and Austin Cammarano. She also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss her.
