Vaughan graduates from Marine Corps boot camp

Private Andrew Vaughan, 19, of Urbana graduated from United States Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego on March 8. Vaughan successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training at MCRD San Diego as one of 57 recruits in Training Platoon 3233. While in recruit training, Vaughan accomplished/achieved the following: rifle expert on the shooting range and fireteam leader. Following 10 days home on leave, he will report to Camp Pendleton for two months at Infantry Training Battalion. Vaughan will be stationed at Camp Pendelton following training.
