Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, Butler Funeral Home Chapel, Bolivar. Burial in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. Visitation: 2 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Adam Christopher Quennoz, 43, Halfway, was born June 30, 1972, at Mather Air Force Base, Rancho Cordova, Calif., the son of James and Natalie Quennoz. He died Feb. 2, 2016, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident Aug. 31, 2015. He was surrounded by his family.

He was a parishioner at Scared Heart Church in Bolivar. He served on the Parish Council and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus for several years.

He attended Bolivar High School graduating in 1990. He played basketball and track. He broke the Bolivar High School high jump record, which his brother, Matthew, held for 12 years.

He joined the U.S. Army National Guard and was a member for several years.

He was united in marriage with his high school sweetheart, Lynn Breshears, on June 26, 1993.

Their daughter was the apple of his eye. They spent many hours together playing basketball, softball and bike riding.

He had just finished airbrushing the Halfway softball home team dugout and planned to start the visitor’s dugout.

He enjoyed flying radio-controlled airplanes and gliders. He was instrumental in establishing the Bolivar Sports Flyers, and was a member of the Missouri Valley Soaring Association.

He was employed at Tuthill in Springfield for 20 years. In 2012 he started a new career at Arrowhead Industries in Halfway. He loved his family of co-workers.

Adam was preceded in death by his grandparents: Victor and Julie Quennoz and Edward and Anette Holak; Lynn’s grandparents, Glen and Pat Breshears; and his niece, Kyla Quennoz.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn; one daughter, Miranda; his parents: James and Natalie Quennoz, Bolivar; his in-laws: Randy and Janice Breshears, Halfway; three brothers: Michael Quennoz, Aldrich, Wayne and wife, Jean Quenno, Springfield, and Matthew and wife, Kim Quennoz, Bolivar; a brother-in-law, Brent Breshears, Halfway; nephews and nieces: Bryan and wife, Tiffany Quennoz, Bolivar, Maddison Thrasher, Springfield, Taven and Talia Breshears, Halfway, Elizabeth Quennoz, Bolivar, Brooke and Bella Mayfield, both of Bolivar; great-nieces and nephew: Allison and Dean Morgan, Olivia Quennoz and Ruby Quennoz; and other friends and  family.
