Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20, Shadel's Colonial Chapel, Lebanon, Mo. Burial at 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, Mo. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Alice Fonda was a devoted Air Force wife. She worked hard to receive her licensed practical nurse degree, and following husband Frank’s military retirement, she pursued her registered nurse degree, which she attained when she was also a grandmother.

She was employed for many years at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Mo., as a charge nurse on the orthopedic floor.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Franklin Clark Fonda; and one sister, Laura Wiltfong.

Survivors include two sons: Colin Jay Fonda, Oklahoma City, and Austin Clark Fonda (Robin), Lebanon; two grandchildren: Elizabeth Emerick (Ryne) and Nathan Fonda (Sarah); one great-grandchild, Edward Emerick; a great-grandchild on the way in October; one sister, Aleta Mae Fry, Kansas City, Mo.; and other relatives and friends.
