Billy K. Wood, 79, of Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Macks Creek, was born Dec. 29, 1938, in Macks Creek, the son of Lester and Stella (Willis) Wood. He died Dec. 12, 2018, at Seasons Health Care, Kansas City.
On March 14, 1964, in Macks Creek, he was united in marriage with Hazel Byler. Together they shared more than 54 years of marriage.
He worked for Dr. Ridgeway, a beloved doctor in Macks Creek, for more than 30 years as a lab and X-ray technician.
He loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing in his spare time.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Stella Wood; his sons: Brad Wood and Bryan Wood; and his brother, Bobby Lee Wood.
Survivors include his loving wife.
