Carl Leo Eidson, 60, was born June 3, 1955, in Macks Creek, the son of Silas Sterling and Elsie Pearl (Hollandsworth) Eidson. He died June 8, 2015, at his home in Macks Creek.

He was united in marriage with Debra Sue Eidson on April 30, 1977, in Camdenton.

He was a lifelong resident of Camden County. He was a truck driver all of his working life. He had been employed with High Brothers Lumber Company for 18 years and was currently employed with Camden County Road and Bridge.

He was saved when he was 15 years old while sitting in his grandma’s doorway while a prayer meeting was being held. He was a faithful member of Myetta Missionary Baptist Church. He was an Ordained Minister and his church and church family were both very important to him.

In his spare time he loved horses and spending time with the saddle club. He enjoyed sitting on his deck and watching the wildlife.

The thing he loved most was time spent with his wife, kids and grandkids.

He had a dream to go see the mountains in Colorado. That dream came true in April as they went to Estes Park, Colo., where he saw Gods handy work in all of its glory.

He touched more lives than we will ever know as he was a loving husband, dad, papa, son, brother and a caring neighbor and friend. His family and friends will treasure the memories he created for them.

Carl was preceded in death by his father; two brothers: Ronald Lee Eidson and Lawrence Randall Eidson; and a sister, Mary Katherine Eidson.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Debra Sue Eidson, of the home; his children: Charles Lee Eidson and friend Paula Murphy, and Carlyn Sue and husband, David Arnold, all of Macks Creek; his grandchildren: Trenton, Jordan and Tayler; his mother, Elsie Pearl Curnutt, Rogersville; two brothers: Jess and wife, Tamie Eidson, and Harold and wife, Pam Eidson, all of Urbana; a sister, Sheila Wright and friend Dave Peachey, Rogersville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
