Services: Cremation rites were accorded by Montgomery-Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Private burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the M.D. Anderson Brain and Spine Center or to the family.
Carl Ray Swanigan, 61, was born Oct. 12, 1954, at Buffalo, the son of Albert and Gloria (Hayes) Swanigan. He died April 20, 2016, at his home at Macks Creek.
He was a retired retail laborer and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; four sons: Ray Swanigan, Clint Swanigan, Daniel Mizer and Christopher Swanigan; one daughter, Rebecca Swanigan; his grandmother, Opal Hayes; four sisters: Bonnie, JoAnn, Ruby and Crystal; and one brother, Wayne.
