Donald Wayne Johnson, 94, of Hermitage, Mo., was born Aug. 10, 1924, in Chula, Mo., the son of Arthur J. and Mary Ellen (Grimes) Johnson. He died Oct. 14, 2018, at Hermitage Nursing and Rehab.
On June 1, 1953, he was united in marriage with Brooksie Edde.
He loved to coon hunt, liked to fish and enjoyed playing cards. Most of all, he loved being with his family.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Art and Bobby Johnson; and two sisters: Rita Etherton and Helen Edde.
Survivors include Brooksie, of the home; four children: Janie Edison, Roach, Mo., Gilbert Johnson, Urbana, Sandy (Melvin) Rice, Sedalia, Mo., and Mike (Sherry) Johnson, Tipton, Mo.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Troy (Lynn), Urbana; and two sisters: Mary (Lawerence) Bridges, Urbana, and Donna (Lee) Hanna, Louisburg, Mo.
