Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, April 30, Day Funeral Home, Marshfield. Burial with military honors provided by Webster County Veteran’s Memorial Team in Pleasant View Cemetery, Elkland. Visitation: 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Earl Dean Rowland, 84, Fair Grove, was born March 2, 1932, in Red Top, the son of Troy Thomas and Lettie Mae (Johnston) Rowland. He died April 27, 2016.

He was united in marriage to Mattie Lou Cunningham on Sept. 19, 1952.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was an employee of Harry Cooper Supply for more than 30 years and enjoyed farming.

He attended Fair Grove United Methodist Church and was a member of the Fair Grove Lions Club. Family was very important to him, and he loved spending time with each one.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Lloyd Rowland; one sister, Norma Beverly; and son-in-law, Tim Keeling.

Survivors include his wife, Mattie Lou, of the home; his sons: Mike and wife, Patty Rowland, Fair Grove, Darrell and wife, Paula Rowland, Broken Arrow, Okla., and Terry Rowland, Springfield; three grandchildren: Angela and husband, Chris Terry, Wardsville, and Leslie Rowland and Emily Rowland, both of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two great-grandchildren: Blake and Paige; one sister, Ann Vuchinich, Georgia; and many other relatives and friends.
