ELVIN GEORGE GLOR

Graveside service: 2 p.m. Friday, March 7, with military honors at Hopewell Cemetery in Tunas, under the direction of Montgomery-Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation: Noon to 1:30 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.

Elvin George Glor, 86, was born Sept. 23, 1927, at Tunas, the son of George Stogsdill Glor and Bertha (Scott) Glor. He died March 2, 2014, at his home near Springfield.

He was reared in Tunas, where he graduated from Tunas High School.

He was a retired salesman for Sears in Kansas City and later worked for Teters Floral Products in Bolivar. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was united in marriage with Mary Harmon on Dec. 2, 1949, at their minister’s home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters: Brenda Sue Glor and Marsha Ann Glor; and eight brothers: Elwood, Elmer, Eldon, Elbert, Paul, Carl, Elwayne and an infant brother, Elven.

Survivors include his wife, Mary (Harmon) Glor; his sister, Mary Percival, Conway; one brother, Melvin Glor, Buffalo; and two caregivers: Cathy Moore and Kylee Kelley.
