Services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 15, Branch Memorial Seventh-day Adventist Church in Macks Creek. Cremation rites were accorded by Montgomery-Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
Hertha Bernice (Hadley) Burris Brown Holmes, 93, formerly of Buffalo, was born April 2, 1920, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Elsie Hadley. She died Feb. 26, 2014, at Quail Run Health Center, Cameron.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Raymond.
Survivors include four sons: Phillip Edward and wife, Gail Burris, Cameron, Preston Eugene Burris, China, Patrick Evan “Red” Burris and Paul Everett Burris, both of Independence; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 32 great-great-grandchildren.
