Judy Ellen Yarbrough, 73, was born Oct. 13, 1944, in Grand Island, Neb., the daughter of Lyle and Gladys (Speck) Steele. She died Oct. 11, 2018, at her home near Louisburg, Mo.

She was raised in Rockville, Neb. She married her first husband and lived in central Nebraska for several years. They later moved to Missouri, where she worked as an offset printer for about 20 years. She had an interest in raising purebred dogs, so she quit her job and started her own kennel, raising Yorkies and Maltese.

She met George Yarbrough at a square dance, and they later became square dance partners. They were united in marriage April 17, 1981, at a special square dance and party.

She liked to travel, and they took many trips in their RV to see the country and go to casinos. She enjoyed spending time on the family farm and loved the home they built after their house was destroyed by a tornado.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Dale Steele.

Survivors include her husband, George, of the home; one son, Joe and wife, Tracy Yarbrough, Buffalo; three daughters: Ginger and husband, Scott Lewis, Bates City, Mo., Rhonda and husband, Gary Casey, Olathe, Kan., and Tammy and husband, Keith Jennings, Warsaw, Mo.; one sister, Lois and husband, Ray Franek, Creighton, Neb.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends who will all truly miss her.
