Services: 10 a.m. Friday, May 6, Montgomery-Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Burial in Lone Rock Cemetery, Windyville. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

The Rev. Jackie Brakebill will officiate. Music selections will be given by his grandsons. Memorials may be made to Lone Rock Cemetery or Grandma’s House of Harrison, Ark.

Escorts are Donnie Sherrer, Ronnie Sherrer, Stanley Ownby, Paul Yates and Leland Dame.

Kenneth E. Harrell, 86, was born Sept. 8, 1929, at Bennett Springs, the son of LeRoy and Violet (English) Harrell. He died May 2, 2016, at his home in Hermitage, surrounded by family.

He was united in marriage with Ethel Belle (Clemmons). He lived for a number of years in Kansas City, Kan., before retiring from Owens-Corning Fiberglass. After that, they moved to Lead Hill, Ark., where he drove a bus for the Lead Hill School District for several years, and then they moved to Hermitage.

He and his wife were foster parents for 32 children for 10 years, and were named Arkansas Foster Parents of the Year. He was also a Union member.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; two children: Michael Ray Harrell and Janet Rausch; and six brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel; eight children: Carolyn and husband, Jerry Boyd, Vickie Harrell, Randall and wife, Wendy Harrell, Richard and wife, Celeste Harrell, Sandy and husband, Charlie Young, Kenneth Russell and wife, Kim Harrell, Joseph Allen Harrell and Jason and wife, Ashley Harrell; 32 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nine siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
