The Rev. Richard Prater officiated.

Lala Virginia Rhodelander-Bibee, 84, was born Feb. 3, 1930, in Windyville, the daughter of Owen Ether and Ethol Leena (Sturdevant) Coffelt. She died Oct. 6 at her home in Buffalo.

She was reared in the Windyille area and attended Windyville school.

She was united in marriage with John Bert Rhodelander on Feb. 9, 1946, and moved to Tunas.

She enjoyed many hours of quilting and made many quilts over the years, all hand-stitched, never machined.

She was a member of the Buffalo Quilting Club and Plad Baptist Church.

Though she never had children of her own she always had children in the home. She loved having them around, showing them how life was on the farm, from milking cows to delivering baby pigs or calves.

She loved baking fresh rolls, always making enough food to feed an army; even if it was just for two or three people, they always had plenty to eat.

She also made some of the best pies and chocolate sheet cakes.

She enjoyed life on their farm in Tunas, where they helped raise several little boys to be good men to their families and friends.

Her passion in life was playing the piano for family, friends and in church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 62 years, John Bert Rhodelander.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Bibee; a stepson, John and wife, Carolyn Griffiths, Bolivar; a step-grandson, James Griffiths; and a number of nieces and nephews, including special great-nephews: Dean and wife, Kay  Rhodelander,  and David and wife Terry Haase. She will be missed by all who knew her.
