Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, Cantlon Otterness Funeral Home of Urbana. Burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Visitation: 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Urbana.

Larry Lee Rauh Sr., 69, was born March 4, 1946, in Blythe, Calif., the son of Dewey and Lorraine (Uptergrove) Rauh. He died May 3, 2015, following a battle with brain cancer.

He married Carla Lehman, and to this union three sons were born. He moved his family to Urbana in 1980.

In 1991 he married Enid Long who brought six children to this union.

He worked commercial and residential construction from a young age. He loved being on the tractor mowing the fields, fishing and just enjoying the outdoors.

He was very proud of his 1927 Model T Roadster he helped to build and restore.

He was an active member of Freedom Chapel Baptist Church. He loved his Lord and Savior and never missed a chance to share his faith. He put his faith into action with kind deeds to others in a quiet way.

He loved spending time with his family, and was very proud of each and every one of his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jack Rauh; and two sisters: Carolyn Myers and Patsy Buckles.

Survivors include his wife, Enid, of the home; his sons: Marvin and wife, Barbara Rauh, Buffalo, Larry Rauh Jr., Humansville, Carl and wife, Destiny Rauh, Springfield, Jason and wife, Liz Peetz, Greendale, Wis., and Jeffrey Peetz, Bagnell Dam; his daughters: Janet and husband, Sean Delaney, Kenosha, Wis., Julie and husband, Tom Wright, Kenosha, Wis., Joy and husband, Brian Heffner, Olathe, Kan., and Jill and husband, Steve Blankenship, Urbana; one sister, Peggy Taylor; three brothers: Terry, Tracy and Donald Rauh; 21 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and other family members, his church family, and many friends who will all truly miss him.
