Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, Cantlon Otterness Funeral Home of Buffalo. Burial in Memorial Gardens of Memory. Visitation: 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Paula Sue Bartee, 49, was born Aug. 19, 1966, in Independence, the daughter of Carl Dorian and Carol Jane (Viles) Lankford Sr. She died Aug. 29, 2015, at her parents’ home in Buffalo.

At a young age she moved to Buffalo where she attended and later graduated from Buffalo High School.

The following December after her graduation, she was united in marriage with Perry Bartee.

She worked at the State Disability Determination, then the Dallas County Care Center, (now Buffalo Prairie Care Center), All About Smiles dental office as an office manager, then WebCo Manor as a secretary.

Her grandchildren and family were her life. She loved gardening, being outdoors, shooting, running around barefoot and was the family caregiver. She was a member of the Landmark Church in Strafford.

Survivors include her husband, Perry Bartee, of the home; her parents, Carl and Carol Lankford Sr., Buffalo; one daughter, Brittany and husband, Zach Altic, Buffalo; one son, Brett Bartee and his life partner Andrew Shoemake, Plattsburg; two brothers: Carl Lankford Jr., Buffalo, and Jeff and wife, Teresa Lankford, Strafford; three grandchildren: Peyton Altic, Makayla Altic and Mekenley Altic; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, friends, and family who will all truly miss her.
