RICHARD LON CASE

Service: Private memorial and celebration of life service were held Sunday, March 6. Cremation rites were accorded by Pitts Chapel of Greenlawn Funeral Home of Bolivar.

Richard Lon Case, 67, Pleasant Hope, was born Oct. 11, 1948, the son of Henry and Betty Case. He died Feb. 25, 2016, after a battle with multiple sclerosis.

He was reared in Hickory County where he attended Skyline Schools and graduated with the class of 1966.

After graduation, he started his own backhoe business. Later he started his own restaurant equipment business. He finally retired due to failing health.

He was united in marriage with Cathy in August 1997.

He enjoyed fishing. His last few years were spent enjoying time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Harvey; one sister, Favian; and former sister-in-law, Sharon Case.

Survivors include his wife and love, Cathy Case; children: David and wife, Marla, Texas, Lane, Morgan and Katlin, all of Pleasant Hope; stepson, Waylon and wife, Sara, Pleasant Hope; four brothers: Errol Case, Buckhorn, William and wife, Wanda Case, Buffalo, Norman and wife, Sherry Case, Boise, Idaho, and John and wife, Rho Case, Macon; three sisters: Shirley Case, Boise, Idaho, Mary Sue and husband, Alvin Edwards, and Sally and husband, Ross Giacomo, all of Lamonte; one granddaughter; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends who will truly miss him.
