Funeral mass is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, in St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Denis Dougherty, O.S.B. celebrant. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1500 S. Glenstone Ave., Springfield, MO 65804, or the American Cancer Society, 3322 S. Campbell, Ste. P, Springfield, MO 65807.

Theodore L. Wolf III, 66, was born Nov. 4, 1944, in Springfield, Mass., the son of Theodore L. and Catherine E. (Turner) Wolf Jr. He died Sept. 3, 2011, at his home in Fair Grove.

He served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years retiring as a master sergeant. He later worked for EG&G, a defense contracting company in Las Vegas, Nev.

He moved to Fair Grove in 2004, where he also served as alderman.

He had many hobbies and interests including computers, model train railroading, bird watching, bowling and golfing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Mary Alice Wolf.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Linda Wolf; his son, Theodore L. Wolf IV; two sisters: Linda C. King and Donna Jean Wolf; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
