Toney C. Bennett, 64, Macks Creek, was born Nov. 8, 1950, in Poplar Bluff, the son of Paul Bennett and Pauline Duggins. He died April 1, 2015, at Buffalo Prairie Care Center, Buffalo.

He was full of life with a witty sense of humor and never met a stranger.  He was a U.S. veteran.

He was a lifelong truck driver and with the help of Joplin Peterbilt was known for having some of the biggest and nicest trucks which are still on the road today. One of his many challenges was teaching his wife to drive, and together they ran as a team for over 20 years before ill health forced his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his father; and his father-in-law, Don Osborn.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Donna, of Macks Creek; two daughters: Tracy and husband, Gary Polk, Pleasant Hope, and Tonya and husband, Shawn Kaser, Lees Summit; three granddaughters: Maggie Polk, Pleasant Hope, and Lexie and Hadley Kaser, Lees Summit; his mother, Pauline Duggins, Shelbyville, Ill.; one brother, Paul Bennett, Big Bear, Calif.; his mother-in-law, Mary Lou Osborn, Macks Creek; sister-in-law, Vickie Davis, Dallas, Texas; three nieces: Laura Conners, Laila Kinney and Dylan Kinney, all of Texas; and three nephews: Ben Talley, Aidan Conners and Logan Conners, all of Texas.
