Services: 1 p.m. Monday, July 14, Windyville Baptist Church, under the direction of Montgomery-Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Burial in Cedar Ridge Cemetery.

Bro. Dan Miller officiated. Music selections were “Serenaded by Angels,” by Jennie Chappel, two congregational songs, “Precious Memories” and “Amazing Grace;” and “Celebrate Me Home,” sung by Olivia Phillips and accompanied by Melissa Phillips, pianist.

Escorts were her grandsons: Paul Phillips, Brad Phillips, Eddie Phillips, John Phillips, Josh Phillips, Ben Phillips, Shawn Phillips and Tim Phillips.

Zela Phillips, 95, Long Lane, was born Nov. 2, 1918, north of Buffalo, the daughter of Frank and Hettye (Phillips) Franklin. She died July 11, 2014, at Colonial Springs Healthcare Center, Buffalo.

She was united in marriage with Otto Phillips on Nov. 25, 1936.

She was a homemaker and, along with her husband, a founding member of the Windyville Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Otto; one son, Donald; a brother, Bertram Franklin; two sisters: Lela and Naomi; and two infant siblings.

Survivors include four sons: Lewis and wife, Leanna Phillips, Windyville, Frankie and wife, Paula Phillips, Buffalo, Terry and wife, Terri Phillips, Bolivar, and Marvin Phillips, Long Lane; one brother, James Franklin, Pekin, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
