Funeral service: 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, A.B. Union Church, Tunas, under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton. Burial in A.B. Union Cemetery. Visitation: 1 p.m. Thursday in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.

Robert Sherman Taylor, 84, was born March 19, 1930, in Tunas, the son of Howard and Rosie Emmer (Pitman) Taylor. He died Oct. 20, 2014, in Cox Hospital, Springfield.

He was a lifelong resident of the Tunas and Macks Creek area.

 He was a graduate of Tunas High School and served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked in various trades including small engines and heating and air conditioning. He was a man of many talents.

His absolute favorite thing to do was fishing. He had a passion to be outdoors fishing and hunting. He was a great musician and played the mandolin. Spending time with his family brought him the most joy.

He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. He touched many lives, and his memory will linger on in their hearts forever.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and five brothers: Johnny, Clonnie, Lonnie, Lee and Rusty Taylor.

Survivors include seven children: Daran and wife, Linda Taylor, Macks Creek, Tina and husband, Michael Kelley, St. Louis, Robert and wife, Shiloh Taylor, Monett, Kim Taylor, Lebanon, Jamie and wife, Kristy Taylor, Richland, John Taylor, Macks Creek, and Matthew and wife, Tarah Taylor, Buffalo; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bethel Meads, Camdenton, and Bets Andelano, Marshfield, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
