New New New at Dallas County Schools

New faces, new spaces, and a plethora of new systems. There’s a common misconception that only a little happens around a school district during the summer. For some, it may be the busiest time of year; for others, it’s no less active, just different. Yes, teachers and students are gone, but that doesn’t mean there is any shortage of things needing attention. This is especially true for our facilities, custodial, and technology crews. The summer always brings big projects, and this summer is no exception. The end of the school year is always a whirlwind of activities. Technology is collecting student devices; teachers are packing up their rooms for the summer; custodial crews are gathering and preparing equipment to start the summer-long floor waxing projects immediately; and the maintenance department is preparing to jump into any remodeling or construction projects.
