Fallen heroes are honored at Cross Timbers on Memorial Day
State Rep. Jim Kalberloh was the featured speaker at the annual Cross Timbers Memorial Day Service, which drew about 40 to 50 people to the Cross Timbers square on the morning of Monday, May 29. The service is organized by American Legion Post 623 of Cross Timbers.
enGAGE Mobility driven to help families access transportation
In 2022, the Wingo family established a nonprofit organization with a mission of helping families with children with disabilities. Inspired by their 8-year-old son, and hoping to pay forward the generosity they’ve received, enGAGE Mobility offers funding for wheelchair-accessible vehicles to families in need. Less than six months after its inception, enGAGE is issuing its first grant to a deserving family in the Kansas City area in the amount of $50,000.
