INVITATION FOR BIDS Sealed bids for the Mass Grading Plan Public Works Building (hereinafter "Project") will be received by the City of Ozark, 205 N. 1st Street, Ozark, MO 65721, until 2:00 pm CST, on Tuesday December 3rd, 2024. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 pm CST, on Tuesday December 3rd, 2024, at Ozark City Hall, 205 N. 1st Street, Ozark, MO 65721. The Scope of Work includes furnishing all labor, equipment and materials, and performing all work necessary for demolition, site prep, excavation and grading of future building and future paving locations, construction of the sediment basin, storm sewer, erosion control, and other incidental items and work described in the Project Manual, or reasonably inferable therefrom. Bid packages will be available after 12:00 pm on Tuesday November 5th, 2024, and may be obtained from the office of Cochran located at 2804 N. Biagio Street, Ozark, MO 65721, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $25 per set or $25 per digital set. For directions, please call 417-595-4108. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. A prebid meeting will be held on Tuesday November 19th, 2024, at 2:00 pm. at Ozark City Hall The City of Ozark anticipates issuing notice to proceed in early 2025. For a contractor to be awarded this project the contractor must have a fully responsive contractor questionnaire on file with the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission at least seven (7) days prior to the bid opening date. The wage rates applicable to this project have been predetermined as required by law and are set forth in this specification. When Federal wage rates are applicable and included, this contract is subject to the "Work Hours Act of 1962," (P.L. 87-581: 76 Stat. 357) and implementing regulations. For projects with government funding, check if specific language related to prevailing wages needs to be added. Effective January 1, 2009, and pursuant to RSMo 285.530 (1), No business entity or employer shall knowingly employ, hire for employment, or continue to employ an unauthorized alien to perform work within the state of Missouri. The successful bidder must submit a sworn affidavit and documentation affirming the business entity's enrollment and participation in the federal work authorization program and that all of its employees working for the contracted services are not illegal immigrants. Upon signing the contract, the successful contractor and any subcontractor performing the work shall provide a ten-hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program for their on-site employees. The City of Ozark hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
