NOTICE OFTAX CERTIFICATE SALE The following is a publication of lands and lots in Cedar county, Missouri, upon which tax certificates are to be offered for sale at the courthouse door in Stockton, Missouri beginning on Monday August 22, 2022 at ten o'clock a.m. and continuing from day to day if necessary under the provision of law, Missouri Revised Statues 2000, Chapter 140. These lands or lots are to be sold under the descriptions as listed and the amounts shown due for each year represent the total amount of taxes, interest and cost including the cost of the sale, and the certificates will be issued covering as much of such lands and lots as is necessary to discharge the total taxes, interest and charges which are due thereon at the time of sale. The lands and lots to be offered are as follows, with the name of property owners given as shown on the current tax books. All sales must be paid the day of the sale by cash, money order, cashier checks, or personal check with current driver's license and social security card for ID. SECTION 140.190MO STATUES (Revision, 2003) No sale shall be made to any person who is currently delinquent on any tax payments on any property in Missouri, other than a delinquency on the property being offered for sale, and who does not sign an affidavit stating such at the time of sale. Failure to sign such affidavit as well as signing a false affidavit may invalidate such sale. No bid shall be received from any person not a resident of the state of Missouri, until such the jurisdiction of the circuit court of the county in which such sale shall be made, and also filing with such collector an appointment of some citizen if said county as agent of said purchaser, and consenting that service of process on such agent shall give court jurisdiction to try and determine any suit growing out of or connected with such sale of taxes. SECTION 140.405MO STATUES (Revision, 2003) Any person purchasing property at a delinquent tax sale may not acquire the deed to the real estate, as provide in section 140.420, until all of the requirements of section 140.405 are met, concerning title search and notification to persons holding a publicly recorded claim. Failure of the purchaser to comply with this provision shall result in the loss of all interest in the real estate. Real Estate purchased at third offering tax auction and has a publicly recorded deed of trust, mortgage, lease, lien or claim upon the real estate, the purchaser of said property shall notify anyone with the above claim, pursuant to this section.
