The Branch Homemakers Club met May 31 at the fellowship hall in Macks Creek with hostesses Freda Jackson and Billie Ruth Edwards. A wonderful lunch with the main dish of spaghetti and meatballs was enjoyed by everyone.

Sept. 29 is the date chosen for the Homemakers to show off their talents with many handcrafted items, baked goods and a quilt show. The time and place still are being determined.

An update on club member Anne Helton was given. She is at the rehabilitation facility in Hermitage and is doing well.

Winners of the bingo games were Donna Short, Dora Farthing and Pat Waters. Door prizes went to Janet Carter and Mariann Parrack.

The next meeting will be June 14 at the fellowship hall in Macks Creek. We will have a picnic, so all are encouraged to bring something you would take to eat at a picnic. Hostesses will be Mary Kinney and Judy Griffin. Lunch will be a potluck.
