The Dallas County Historical Society will hold the third open house of the summer Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Buffalo Head Prairie Historical Park. The park is on South Ash Street in Buffalo.

The Jacobsen Research Library, museum and other buildings will be open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. for those who wish to visit.

There are many interesting things to see. There will be a meeting of the society at 1 p.m. with Jan Alford giving the program about "Missouri Fox Trotters.” Visitors always are welcome to attend the meetings, and you do not have to live in Dallas County.

Members are encouraged to attend, and if you haven't been for a while, please join us. This is also a good time to do research as there is an abundance of materials for public use. There are also books about local history for sale.
