On Aug. 17 seven members of the Branch Homemakers enjoyed a ladies luncheon at the Camden County Museum. The theme of the luncheon was “holidays” with information on the origination of each holiday being displayed and noted. Everyone had a great time along with great food.

Fifteen ladies met on Sept. 6 at Pat Water’s home for their annual fundraiser, “End of Garden Sale.” Fruits, vegetables and jellies of all kinds were auctioned off and $165 was made to be added to the club’s treasury.

Sept. 20 is the date for our next meeting. It will be held at the Fellowship Hall in Macks Creek with hostess Judy Griffin and Mary Kinney. If you would like to participate in this wonderful community sharing group, please come. We start at 10 a.m. every other Thursday morning and end by 2 p.m.

Sept. 29 is the date chosen for the Homemakers to show off their talents with many handcrafted items, baked goods and a quilt show at the fire station in Macks Creek. Please come and support this great community event.
