A Helping Hands volunteer workday is scheduled for Saturday, May 19. Volunteers should meet at 9 a.m. at Dallas County Community Park. Volunteers will remove old junk, old furniture and yard brush and vegetation, and help make yards mower-ready.

City residents who need help with their yards may call Buffalo City Hall at (417) 345-2701 to be added to the list. Helping Hands is eager to assist with cleanup for anyone who needs a little assistance because of health, money or being overwhelmed with yard work.

After May, the next two workdays are Saturday, June 9, and Saturday, June 30. Volunteers are always welcome.
