Attention all Mizzou Athletics fans and supporters — the University of Missouri recently introduced an initiative to create a more “Black and Gold Presence” for MU and Mizzou Athletics across the state. This initiative will help generate enthusiasm for its athletes, teams and accomplishments, and enhance the visibility for MU and its teams in all 114 counties across the state of Missouri.

An informative meeting to assess possible options, such as organizing activities like local watch parties, having collegiate athletes or members of the coaching staff come and speak, or simply placing signs in front yards, is planned for 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Leaky Roof Meadery, 1306 Azalea St., Buffalo.

For more information, contact the Dallas County Extension Center at (417) 345-7551 or John Freeman, the appointed athletic ambassador for Dallas County, at (417) 288-1252.
