Annalou Bartee

Annalou Bartee, daughter of the late Ed and Gladys (Martin) Rhodelander was born on June 28, 1931 in Dallas County, MO and departed this life on August 17, 2020 at her home in Tunas, MO. At the time of her passing she was 89 years, one month, and 18 days of age.

Annalou was reared and attended school in Tunas, MO. She was united in marriage to Charlie Bartee in 1954 and to this union four children were born, one of whom survives her.

She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. Annalou would never turn a child away and raised several nieces and nephews as her own. She loved working outside in her garden and raising flowers. She also enjoyed canning, reading, and crocheting and would plant a new tree in her yard every year.

Annalou was preceded in death by her husband Charlie; her parents; one son, Jimmy Lynn Howe; two daughters, Beverly Kay Howe and Wynema Davis; six brothers, Leland Rhodelander, Bob Rhodelander, Howard Rhodelander, Kenny Rhodelander, Bill Rhodelander, and Elbert Martin; two sisters, Maxine Swigert and Dorothy Rhodelander; and one great-granddaughter, Brittany Sue Mulkey.

She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Combs of Tunas, MO; four grandchildren, Paula Garroutte, Michael Garroutte, Dickie Mulkey, and Kord Guess; six great-grandchildren, Timothy Garroutte, Kody Cruzan, Kahlie Cruzan, Jessica Mulkey, Charlie Mulkey, and A. J. Mulkey; and five great-great-grandchildren, Kayden Garroutte, Chloe Mulkey, Joe Mulkey, Charles Michael Mulkey, and Branley Mulkey. She also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss her.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2020 at the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo. Interment was in the Plad Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help with the funeral expenses.
