Buffalo woman injured

A Buffalo woman was injured Saturday, Jan. 11, in a one-vehicle crash south of Buffalo, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Tiffani K. Hardwick, 24, was northbound on U.S. 65, 10 miles south of Buffalo, at 5:15 p.m. Jan. 11 when the 2005 Ford Focus she was driving went off the right side of the road and struck a ditch.

Hardwick suffered minor injuries and was taken to Citizens Memorial Hospital, Bolivar.

She was not wearing a seat belt.

Phillipsburg man injured

A Phillipsburg man was injured in a one-vehicle crash Saturday, Jan. 11, west of Mansfield, according to the Highway Patrol.

James W. Gray, 27, of Cabool was eastbound on U.S. 60 two miles west of Mansfield at 1:20 p.m. Jan. 11 when the 2016 Chevrolet Equinox he was driving went off the left side of the ice-covered road and came to a stop in the median.

Gray's passenger, Micheal D. Gray, 26, of Phillipsburg, suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital, Springfield.

Both Grays were wearing seat belts.

Elkland woman injured

An Elkland woman was injured Saturday, Jan. 11, in a two-vehicle crash at the Greene County and Dallas County line, according to the Highway Patrol.

Angela L. Smith, 55, of Elkland was northbound on U.S. 65 at the Greene County and Dallas County line at 12:20 p.m. Jan. 11 when the 2002 Hyundai Elantra she was driving rear-ended a northbound 2001 Mazda Protege on the ice-covered Pomme de Terre bridge. Both vehicles slid off the left side of the road and struck the bridge rail. The Mazda was driven by a 16-year-old boy from Fair Grove. The juvenile's name was not released.

Smith suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital, Springfield.

Smith was not wearing a seat belt, but the juvenile was.

Buffalo man injured

A Buffalo man was injured Friday, Jan. 10, in a three-vehicle crash in Barry County, according to the Highway Patrol.

William F. Walton, 29, of Buffalo was northbound on Mo. 39 one mile south of Aurora at 12:08 p.m. Jan. 10 when the 2018 Ford F-250 he was driving failed to yield and struck the rear of a northbound 2010 Ford F-150, which was stopped in traffic to make a left turn. The 2010 Ford, driven by Trinket D. Foster, 55, of Crane, then struck the rear of a northbound 1997 International, which also was stopped in traffic to make a left turn. The International was driven by Cody L. Wicker, 36, of Crane.

Foster suffered serious injuries, and her passenger, Christopher R. Vincent, 31, of Aurora, suffered moderate injuries. Walton suffered minor injuries. Foster, Vincent and Walton all were taken by ambulance to Cox South Hospital, Springfield.

Foster, Vincent and Wicker all were wearing seat belts, but Walton was not.

4 Elkland residents injured

Four Elkland residents — including three children — were injured Tuesday, Jan. 7, in a two-vehicle crash west of Lebanon, according to the Highway Patrol.

Phillippe L. Johnson, 21, of Warrensburg was northbound at 7:35 a.m. Jan. 7 when the 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan he was driving failed to yield after stopping and traveled into the path of a 2007 Ford F-150, which was westbound on Mo. 32 four miles west of Lebanon. The Dodge was struck by the Ford, which was driven by Miranda K. Collins, 27, of Elkland. The Ford overturned and went off the right side of the road. After being struck, the Dodge went off the right side of the road.

Collins suffered moderate injuries, and her three passengers, a 5-year-old girl, a 2-year-old girl and a 1-year-old girl, all of Elkland, all suffered serious injuries. Collins and the three juveniles, whose names were not released, all were taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital, Springfield.

The three juveniles and Johnson were wearing seat belts, but Collins was not.

Cross Timbers man in crash

A Cross Timbers man was involved in a two-vehicle crash Monday, Jan. 6, east of Oregon, Mo., in Holt County, according to the Highway Patrol.

Dominic N. Wiedmaier, 34, of Cross Timbers was northbound on Interstate 29 six miles east of Oregon at 8:55 p.m. Jan. 6 when the front of the 1998 Peterbilt tractor trailer he was driving struck the rear of a northbound 2016 Chrysler 200. The Chrysler was driven by Bilal M. Guwale, 44, of Omaha, Neb. Both vehicles came to a controlled stop on the east side of the road, and both vehicles came to a stop on their wheels, facing north.

Guwale suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph.

Both Wiedmaier and Guwale were wearing seat belts.

Conway woman injured

A Conway woman was injured Monday, Jan. 6, in a two-vehicle crash in Webster County, according to the Highway Patrol.

Jeremy D. Portin, 48, of Pierce City was eastbound on Interstate 44 near Mile Marker 90 in Webster County at 3 p.m. Jan. 6 when the 2011 Kenworth tractor trailer he was driving merged into the lane of an eastbound 2012 Volkswagen Passat. The Kenworth struck the rear of the Volkswagen, which was driven by Crystal Mason, 40, of Conway.

Mason suffered minor injuries, and her passenger, Michael Reynolds, 43, of Springfield, suffered moderate injuries. Both Mason and Reynolds were taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital, Springfield.

Mason, Reynolds and Portin all were wearing seat belts.
