Carolyn Dale Van Middlesworth

On Nov. 12, 2020, Carolyn Dale Van Middlesworth earned her angel wings.

On coming to NJ to visit relatives in June of 1964, she met and married her beloved husband, Frederick Van Middlesworth on July 25, 1964. They recently celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary.

Carolyn was born in Maryville, Tennessee, February 12, 1946, to the late Jackson and Irene McHaffie Hall.

She was the sister to Janie Hall, Charles “Talkie” Hall, David Hall and the late Jackie, Lowell and Howard Hall.

She was the treasured mother of Robert Van Middlesworth and his wife, Jean, of Whiting, N.J., and Constance Van Middlesworth of Urbana, Mo. She was the cherished grandmother of Steven Ryan Van Middlesworth of Buffalo, Mo., and Samantha Lynn Umfleet and her husband, Michael, of Louisburg, Mo.

She is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. She especially loved and treasured her dog, Johnny Cash.

Carolyn lived in NJ with her family for 39 years before moving to Urbana, Mo., in 2003.

She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette’s Church in Hermitage, Mo.

She had many hobbies, which included playing the lottery, going to casinos and sewing.

Her greatest joy in life was being a caregiver to all she knew and loved. She will be missed and treasured by all for always.
