Kenneth G. “Doc” Wommack passed away Friday, March 15, 2019, at 10:06 a.m. in Delmar Gardens of Meramec Valley, Fenton, Mo., at the age of 71 years and 7 months.

Doc is preceded in death by his mother, Phelma Wallace Wommack of Fair Grove, and one niece, Jennifer Cox McKenna, and one nephew, Jeffrey Lynn Cox, both of Fenton.

He is survived by his sister, Peggy Wommack Cox, and two nephews and one niece, Kevin, Darren and Rebecca Cox, all from the surrounding Fenton area. He has 9 great-nieces and -nephews and two great-great-nieces, as well as a host of friends and relatives.

Services for Doc are being planned for Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Pleasant View Cemetery in Elkland, Mo., at 1:00 p.m.
Doc served one year on the Pleasant View Cemetery Board. Doc drove a school bus for over 25 years in Strafford, Conway, Buffalo and Marshfield, Mo.

Doc’s love for politics began in the 1960s while still in high school. He wrote to many, many politicians throughout his life, up until his last few years. His pride and joy was that everyone he wrote to wrote back to him, and he even received an invitation to one of the inaugurations. He ran for many political offices in both Webster and Dallas counties.
Doc served in the United States Army in Germany during the Vietnam era.
Doc’s body was cremated in St. Louis. Plans are being made for a 21 Gun Military Salute at the closing of the memorial service.
