Lorraine Marie (Blakey) Skinner was born May 31, 1953, in Lebanon, Missouri, to Everett and Doris (Judy) Blakey. She departed this life on December 8, 2019, at age 66, at her home in Elkland, Missouri.

She was raised around the Lebanon area, and most of her education she attended Phillipsburg and Conway Schools.

She was united in marriage on November 1, 1974, to Darrell Wayne Skinner of Elkland, Missouri. Together, they raised three children, William Grant Massey, Dennis Wayne Skinner and Rebecca Marie Skinner, and one grandchild, Amber Lynn Skinner.

Lorraine was employed at H. D. Lee for several years in Lebanon, Missouri, and later was a school bus driver at Dallas County R-1 School District for 13 years until her retirement in 2015. She loved her school kids and touched the hearts of many throughout the years.

Spending time with her family and friends brought much joy to her life. She always looked forward to having get-togethers, playing with her grandkids and card games on Sunday afternoons. She had the most caring heart and a smile that would light up the room.

Lorraine was baptized on June 11, 1976, and attended meetings at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Buffalo, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ralph and Grace Judy; and her parents, Everett Blakey and Doris (Judy) House.

She is survived by her three children: William and Julie Massey of Gray Summit, Missouri, Dennis Skinner and Carla Libby of Elkland, Missouri, and Rebecca Skinner of Elkland, Missouri; four grandchildren: Amber Skinner of Buffalo, Missouri, Amanda and Steven Drysdale of Springfield, Missouri, Maggie Keller of Gray Summit, Missouri, and Wyatt Grupe of Gray Summit, Missouri; four great-grandchildren: Jalynn Dennis, Zoie Dennis, Chloie Drysdale and Kaedon Drysdale; one sister, Bonnie and Herb Lappin of Elkland, Missouri; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
