Nicholas Lee Young Sr. age 73 of Buffalo, Missouri was born July 21, 1947 to Albert Nansen Young and Alice (Bauldin) Trow and passed away at his home on Saturday, October 31, 2020.
Nick was a lifelong resident of Buffalo, Missouri. He graduated High School in Buffalo in 1965. He married his high school sweetheart Roberta McCart and had two children. Later, he remarried and had twin daughters and another son.
Nick was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by two sons Nick Young II and wife Crystal of Rocky Comfort, Missouri, and Jason Thompson of Kansas City, Missouri; three daughters Theresa Slagle and husband Brian of Battlefield, Missouri, Julie Kinney and husband Richard of Kansas City, Missouri, and Erin Bastel of Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers Mike Carter of Centralia, Missouri, and Todd Trow of Fair Grove, Missouri; two sisters Charlene Smith of Buffalo, Missouri, and Eileen Payne and husband Sam; nine grandchildren and 5 and a half great-grandchildren.
Nick was a proud Patriotic American, who embraced life to its fullest. He loved his mother, his kids (sometimes) and his grandkids and great-grandkids.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Wounded Warrior Project would be appreciated.
Cremation rites will be accorded by the Cantlon-Otterness and Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo, Missouri.
