Paul Edward Nimmo, son of the late Edgar and Mary Jane (Icenhower) Nimmo was born on November 23, 1947 in Fair Grove, Missouri and departed this life on September 1, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. At the time of his passing he was 71 years, 9 months, and 8 days of age.

Paul was reared in Tin Town and attended school at Pleasant Hope. After graduation he worked on his parent’s farm before purchasing a dairy farm near Halfway. He also drove a truck over the road for ten years.

Paul loved working on the farm and being outdoors. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. He was united in marriage to Uldine Hughes on July 3, 1981 at the First Baptist Church in Buffalo, Missouri. After his retirement in 2014 he enjoyed spending time working outdoors on his farm putting up hay and working his dairy cattle.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; one uncle, Frank Nimmo; and one aunt, Jinx Nimmo.

He is survived by his wife Uldine of the home; one son, Michael E. & wife Alicia Nimmo of Halfway, MO; two daughters, Rachel & husband Jamie Williams of Halfway, MO and Jennifer & husband Josh Eldridge of Kansas; two brothers, Lester & wife Judy Nimmo and Stanley Nimmo; three sisters, Sue & husband Doug Stidham, Millie & husband Terry Gates, and Katie Hall; and four grandchildren. He also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss him.

Graveside services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at the Union Grove Cemetery with Pastor Shane Hughes officiating. Escorts were David Alsup, Jalyn Bell, Jamie Williams, Josh Eldridge, Chris Stidham, and Heath Housley. Services were under the care and direction of the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation was from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
