Pauline K. (Fundermann) Osborne, age 88, of Buffalo MO, born April 9,1932 in Anthon, Iowa passed away on May 27,2020 in Lake Stockton, Missouri.  Pauline was married to Charles Osborne and they had 3 children.  She was a marvelous mother, grandmother, sister, friend and coworker.

In 1976 Pauline, Charles and son Bradley made their new home in Buffalo, MO.  During Pauline’s life her faith sustained her through many tragic losses. She was a faithful longtime member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Buffalo, MO.  She leaves behind many special friends from her church family.

Pauline spent 27 years as the receptionist at H&R Block. She greeted every client by name as they entered. She loved her clients so much that if a client had a birthday during tax season, they would also receive a slice of birthday cake at their appointment. Her coworkers for those 27 years loved her dearly and have remained best friends throughout the years. She will never be replaced in our hearts.

Pauline was a lover of birds (all kinds), flowers (and yard-work mainly lawn mowing), sewing (from little girl dresses to baby quilts to stuffed bears and bunnies),  clocks (if it ticked, tocked, chimed or cuckooed she bought it), photography (mainly of her sewing projects), cooking (never read a recipe she couldn’t make), baking (especially sweets), horseback riding, trail rides and horse shows with her very, very special friend J C Armstrong (and his granddaughters Kelly and Crystal as ribbon girls).  Pauline loved all of J C’s family as her own forever and always.

But mostly Pauline loved to laugh and enjoy life. Her smile was contagious. The highlight of every year was her solo road trip to visit friends and family in numerous states. The trip always ended at her beloved Fundermann Family Reunion in Anthon, Iowa. She spent months preparing invitations, games, and prizes for this special day. She beamed with pride as she showed pictures and told stories of the weddings and new babies that had graced her family in the past year.

Pauline also loved to send and receive handwritten letters and cards to and from friends. Her handwriting was a beautiful work of art. For the last year, she could no longer read or write due to her dementia, but she loved receiving cards and letters from family and friends. Her family sends a special “Thank You” to each person that sent her letters, cards, and pictures in the past year. They were her greatest treasures and were read and reread to her bringing her beautiful smile to her face once again. They were priceless! Thank You!

Pauline was preceded in death by husband Charles Osborne, 2 sons Douglas and Bradley, son in law Tony Marquez, parents T.J. and Emma Fundermann, 3 brothers, John, T.P. and Paul Fundermann.

She is survived by daughter Linda Marquez of Littleton, CO and daughter in law Kim Osborne of Eldorado Springs, MO.  5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, her sisters Judy Thompson, Eileen Bumsted, brothers Jake, Frank, and Wayne Fundermann.

Services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday June 3, 2020, at the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo, Missouri.
