Steven Douglas York
Steven Douglas York, 60, was born on December 1, 1958, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Vernon and Joyce York. He departed this life on Friday, October 18, 2019, at his home near Windyville, Mo., surrounded by his family.
After high school he joined the United States Navy, where he served for 5 years.
On Aug. 31, 1990, he was joined in marriage to Meri Phillips-York for 29 years and blessed with 2 children, Jessica and Michael.
He worked in Lebanon and Springfield, Mo.
Steven is survived by his wife, Meri, of the home; his daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Joshua Popielarz of Columbia, Mo.; his son, Michael York, of Columbia, Mo.; his sister Teresa York of Coral Springs, Fla.; and his youngest sister and her husband, Leslie (York) and Keith Anderson of Lebanon, Mo. He was also survived by three nephews, Austin Steelman, Dylan Steelman and Brian Henson and their wives, children and many other family members and friends.
Private family services will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019, in Buffalo, Mo.
