Teresita Dove

On Sunday, November 8th, 2020, Teresita Dove, loving wife and mother of three children, passed away at age 72.

Terri was born on May 7, 1948 in Agat, Guam to Juan Cruz and Maria Sablan Fejeran. Terri lived on the island of Guam where she met a military man and the love of her life, Gary Alan Dove Sr., before the two married on December 20, 1974 and moved to the states. They raised one daughter, Frances Dee Hinds, and two sons, Gary Dove Jr., and Ira Dove.

Terri had a passion for God’s beautiful creation, and would enjoy fishing every chance she got. She was also an excellent cook, and her gift of delicious Chamoru dishes was one way she showered her family and friends with love. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcomed and loved. With her husband, children, and other family members having served our great country in the military, she was proud to be an American and thanked every member of the military and veteran she came across.

Terri was also a faithful Christian who was in constant prayer for others. She accepted Jesus Christ as her savior December 1974, and she shared her faith with everyone she met out of immense love for all and her desire to spread the good news of salvation in Christ. Terri was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church. She and Gary built an amazing life together with Christ as their Lord and Savior and foundation.

Terri was preceded in death by her parents Juan Cruz and Maria Sablan Fejeran, siblings Enrique Sablan Fejeran, Maryann Sablan Fejeran, and stillborn Jesus Sablan Fejeran, mother-in-law and father-in-law Juanita Elizabeth Dove and Ira Benjamin Harrison Dove Jr., sister-in-law Myra McClellan, brothers-in-law Francisco Charforous and Juan San Nicolas, nephew Anthony Mark “Tony Boy” Fejeran Carbullido, and great-nephew Baby Riki Koyama Carbullido.

She is survived by her husband, Gary, their three children Frances Hinds and husband Glendale, Ira Dove and wife Paula, and Gary Dove Jr. and wife Stacey, her sisters and brother Regina San Nicolas, Aurora Carbullido and husband Anthony, and Frank Fejeran and wife Pat, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Bobby Dove, Danny Dove and wife Waynette, Sharon Dove, and Deborah Dove, fourteen grandchildren Maria Smith and husband Richard (two sons and one daughter), Sarah Maples and husband Seth Thomas (one daughter), Christina Lindsey and husband Ryan, Kaci Hinds, Riley Dove, Olivia Shumway, Ariana Dove, Nova Clayton, Benjamin Dove, Emily Dove, Evan Dove, Nair Fairley, Ivan Fairley, Hunter Fairley, and many other family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Cantlon-Otterness & Viets in Buffalo, MO on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 PM with service on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Maple Lawn cemetery under the direction of the Cantlon-Otterness and Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, Gary is requesting donations be made to The Gideons International.
