Travis Ray Stockham

Travis Ray Stockham 95 of Urbana, Mo passed away February 12, 2020 at Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia, MO. He was born in Hamilton, Texas, on April 2, 1924 to Robert and Louline Stockham.

Travis served his country in the Army during WWII.

The family moved to Missouri after Ford closed the Dallas plant in 1970. He spent the rest of his time until retirement in 1980 as a committeeman and was known as “Chief.”

After retiring he moved to the lake to fish, he served as minister at the Urbana First Baptist Church and a church in Buffalo until he was unable to due to health. He was a member of the Urbana First Baptist Church and loved his Lord, his family and his church very much.

Travis was preceded in death by his parents, brother James, sisters Vera and Venita, his first wife Bobbie Jean, and his second wife Evangeline.

He is survived by his sons Tommy Stockham, Jack (Ann) Stockham of Warsaw, grandchildren, Shawn, Stefanie, Angela, Laura, Karen, James, David, Katherine, and Andrea and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2020 at the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Urbana with Rev. Dan Sample officiating. Escorts will be Joe Rooffener, Doug Stidham, Curtis Adams, James Stockham, Ryan Sorrell, and Cheyenne Rooffener. Honorary escorts will be Brad Banter and Steve Kenall. Interment will be in the Mission Ridge Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Urbana.

Visitation from 1:00-2:00 pm Monday at the Funeral Home.
