The Missouri Governor’s Conference on Agriculture is coming back to Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, Missouri for its 50th celebration of agriculture. Today, the Missouri Department of Agriculture announced registration is open and the event is set for Nov. 16-17. more

Buffalo High School Class of 1968 will be celebrating their 55 year reunion starting at 7 p.m., September 15, at the Buffalo Bison Football Homecoming. There will be a Saturday Brunch the following morning from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on September 16, at the Alumni Building. Macks Creek has announced that boys and girls wrestling will be coming to the high school this 2023-24 school year as a new sport. Kris Paschel has been recognized as the new head coach. Paschel has been a teacher at Macks Creek schools for three years and was also recently awarded for the Heart of Missouri RPDC Teacher of the Year Award. more

Visit the MDC Conservation Building from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the children’s Xplor Zone from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to see live fish and other native animals such as snakes, turtles, and amphibians. Learn about and see displays of native plants that help butterflies and other important pollinators. Ask MDC staff conservation-related questions, get educational materials, and have fun. more

Skye Ford, a 2023 graduate of Buffalo High School, was recently awarded a $40,000 scholarship from the Wyandotte Nation Indian Tribe in Wyandotte, Oklahoma. This scholarship is payable over four years, $5,000 a semester. Ford plans to attend OTC and obtain an RN degree. She is the daughter of Jacob and Melissa Ford. more
