At 9:20 a.m. on January 29, 2024, Amy K. O’Brien, 51, Elkland, was driving a 2018 Kia Forte on Mo. 38, eight miles south of Buffalo, when her car ran off the roadway and struck a pole. The vehicle was totaled and O’Brien was left with moderate injuries. She was taken to Cox South by EMS. The driver was wearing a safety device. more

At 1 a.m. on January 26, 2024, on Route M, three miles west of Conway, Kevin J. Moore, 34, Conway, ran off the roadway and struck a tree while driving eastbound in a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche. Moore suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene. The driver was not wearing a safety device. more

She and her sister played with stuffed animals like they were patients in their imaginary hospital. She loved helping make anyone feel better. It should come as no surprise that when she grew up, those personality traits carried over to lead her into a career that focuses on making people feel better — nursing. more
