In 1924 William K. and Nora Gladden McGee were planning on moving to Louisburg from Buffalo. They traveled on what at that time was Missouri State 3. The road was a forerunner of Highway 65 which was in the planning stages in that area.

Mathew Mark Huntsman, born in 2001, Wheatland, was charged by Dallas County Prosecuting Attorney Jonathan D. Barker in Dallas County Circuit Court with the class B and class E felony of unlawful use of a weapon on or about January 7, 2024.
