Dallas County Sheriff Scott Rice has announced that the sheriff's office has added a temporary hotline phone number for anyone who has information regarding the murder of Joseph and Brandy Allen, of Tunas, early Sunday morning. The number is (417) 383-5232.

The sheriff's department has found the missing vehicle, a 2006 Silver Chevy Silverado single cab with dark grey/black fender flares. The vehicle, which belonged to the Allens, was located in Macks Creek.

A news release by the Dallas County Sheriff's Office on Sunday said officers found the two homeowners deceased outside the residence. It appeared that during the early morning hours on Sunday the Allens interrupted an attempted robbery/invasion. The Allens apparently engaged in a gun battle with the intruders, resulting in the loss of their lives.
