Buffalo’s girls cross country team won the Ozark Mountain Conference meet that was held in Buffalo on Oct. 9. The top runner was from Warsaw, but Buffalo had the numbers - the Lady Bison won five of the top nine positions.

Alyssa Alcantara of Warsaw won the event with a time of 21;21.39, and El Dorado Springs won third place and sixth place. Otherwise, the top nine spots belonged to the Lady Bison.

Sydney Abercrombie finished second with a time of 22:25.58 and Bailly Payne and Cheyann Kenady were fourth and fifth with times of 22:43.15 and 23:00.86. Drew Von Nostrand finished seventh with a time of 23:17.43 and Jacey Worley was eighth with a time of 23:27.01.

Mercedes Horinek was 14th and Julia Horinek 15th.
