The Hickory County R-1 (Skyline) School District will host its 39th annual Senior Citizens Day on Friday, Oct. 26. The program will be held in the new multi-purpose room next to the softball field.

All senior citizens who live in the Skyline School District as well as the grandparents of any Skyline Elementary School student are invited to attend.

Following is a schedule of events:

• 11:30 a.m. — senior citizens arrive.

• 11:40 a.m. — Superintendent Dr. Mark Beem will recognize special attendees.

• Noon — Lunch in the new multi-purpose room.

• 12:40 p.m. — Second grade students sing under the direction of Mrs. Kelley (Mrs. Mashburn, Mrs. Moss and Mrs. Taylor).

• 12:50 a.m. — First grade students sing under the direction of Mrs. Kelley (Ms. Hicks, Ms. Salley and Mrs. Warstadt).

• 1 p.m. — Third grade students sing under the direction of Mrs. Kelley (Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Mabary and Mrs. Martin).

• 1:10 p.m. — Kindergarten and pre-kindergarten students sing under the direction of Mrs. Kelley (Mrs. Eidson, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Hathaway and Mrs. Turner).

• 1:20 p.m. — Fourth grade students sing under the direction of Mrs. Kelley (Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Darby and Mr. Hutchinson).

• 1:30 p.m. — Presentation of door prizes.
