Allan Kent Miller, 66, was born March 24, 1952, in Fairbanks, Alaska, the son of Douglas and Blanch Miller. He died Oct. 5, 2018, in Cox South Medical Center, Springfield, Mo.

He was raised in the St. Louis, Mo., area and graduated from Hazelwood High School.

In November 1973, he was united in marriage with Alice Faye Morris. They made their home in the Florissant, Mo., area and lovingly raised their son.

He worked as an automobile painter for many years and was a member of the United Auto Workers Union 302.

In his spare time, he enjoyed being on the water, where he liked fishing, floating and kayaking. He had a love for animals, particularly his dog and cats. His family was very dear to him, and he especially loved his granddaughter.  

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. His family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.

Allan was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Michael Miller.

Survivors include his wife, Alice, of the home; a son, Matthew Miller, Long Lane, Mo.; a granddaughter, Sam Miller, Springfield; a brother, Stephen Miller, Long Lane; and a host of other relatives and friends.
