Celebration of life: 4 p.m. June 25, Japanese Garden Pavilion, Springfield Botanical Gardens.

Andrea Marie Licht, 22, was born June 30, 1994, in Sedalia, the daughter of Mac and Sue (Brosi) Mackesty. She died June 23, 2017, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, after she experienced a brain stem aneurysm and was taken off life support.

She lived most of her life in the Missouri Ozarks.

From a young age, she was a vivacious person who loved animals and the outdoors, including fishing and hunting.

She was a 2012 graduate of Ozark High School, and had a heart for both the young and old, caring for Alzheimer’s patients at The Arbors while attending college to become a preschool teacher.

She found her soul mate and partner for life, Nathan Licht, and they were united in marriage in 2016.

They had moved in 2015 to Colorado, where she did in-home care for both children and the elderly. They moved back to Missouri to be near family.

She eagerly looked forward to being a mother and couldn’t wait to see and hold her child.

She was baptized in the Pomme de Terre River in 2016 and was a Biblical Unitarian. She was raised Catholic and Baptist, later attending Pentecostal, Church of Christ and nondenominational churches. Her giving heart inspired many people, and as an organ donor she was able to save the lives of others.

Survivors include her parents; her husband, Nathan; her daughter, Anaya, who was born by cesarean June 19, 2017; five siblings: Brittani and husband, Corey Harris, Sarah, Christina, Hailie and Tanner, all of Ozark; paternal grandmother, Judith Ramel, Springfield; maternal grandmother, Elvira Abé, Sacramento, Calif.; and other extended family and dear friends. She will be forever lovingly remembered and missed.
